Lyla DiPaul is a New Orleans based singer-songwriter who began performing and recording music after meeting her bandmates at Loyola University in 2018. DiPaul grew up in Takoma Park, MD where she fell in love with playing guitar and writing songs at the age of 10. She draws musical inspiration from a variety of songwriters including Taylor Swift, Joni Mitchell, and Phoebe Bridgers. DiPaul eloquently relays the feeling of love and heartbreak through her music, and hopes to connect to people through her work.

Currently, DiPaul is celebrating the release of her debut EP, Sleepless Nights, which received praise from blogs such as York Calling, who said “Sleepless Nights is a fantastic EP and it’s one of the best things I’ve heard this year. Lyla DiPaul is deeply talented and deserves to be heard!” The release of the EP was followed by the band's first tour through the American South in July of 2022. Since then, DiPaul and her band have played sold out shows in Atlanta, DC, and New York as well as a year long residency at home in New Orleans.

The singers-songwriter has also been focused on recording new music including two singles released in 2023. The latest, entitled “I Feel Okay” has gotten glowing reviews from outlets such as Offbeat Magazine, who in a recent publication compared DiPaul’s songwriting to that of indie artist Lucy Dacus. “Something that both DiPaul and Dacus do beautifully is that they both present how difficult it is to be a young woman with little sugar coating to be found.” You can look out for Lyla DiPaul in a city near you.
